b16a into vx, won't start

b16a into vx, won't start
okay, ran into another snaggle...
the jdm wiring harness believed that the alternator connection to the fuse box was on the driver's side. silly them! it's on the passenger side. so 4 feet of 8ga later...
everything is connected. the car sits on it's own wheels. has the shiny new p30 brain...
i put the key in the ignition and it decries foul! the door is open. so i have power to the cab. the lights come on, the windshield wipers work, and the blinkers function... haven't checked the stereo...
but when i turn the key....
all i hear is a click.
no fuel pump sound. no activity from the starter.
when i parked the car, everything worked with the d15.
called fast2camciv and he says "master relay"
not questioning him. i just have no idea what this "master relay" is, or where to get one. am i on another goose chase for a part that no one carries? is this oem only, or junkyard bait only? if i find one in the junkyard, does it have to be a B-series relay? and if i find one in the yard, is there any way to test it to see if it's any better than the one i have? is there any way to test the one i have, to see if it's viable? and if it does require a different relay for the B-series as opposed to the D-series, is that maybe my problem to begin with?

i think he is talking about the main relay..it is at drive side kick panel...and check all your ground wires...the valve cover..the battery and the tranny ground wires..and i know jdm harness sucks..totally opposite.but i did some alternation to make it work.. and u might have some problem with the jdm p30 ecu in the future..cause for my experiences..jdm p30 ecus does not work well with jdm engine into usdm civic chassis.. such as knock sensor..traction control..etc..i ended up buying a chipped p28 ecu tuned by a pro

yes, main relay
checked starter and battery, everything's getting power, except the fuel pump and then no starter kick.
weird electrical clicking coming from below the dash on the driver's side when i turn the key up to start.

ah-HAH!!!!
electrical click is the main relay, trying to send power to starter, and shorting across the blown line!!

using parts of the vx harness, parts of the harness that came w/ engine. problem is, engine wants to hook into everything on the right side, and vx wants to hook in on the left.
re-wired everything that needed it.
all wires check out.
possibly wire-nuts not solid. checking
