B16A bad lma's, how soon should I replace them?
I got a early 92 B16A (46,xxx miles, verified odometer statement) out of a JDM EG2 DelSol, I am assuming since it's early 92 that I have the old style, problem prone LMA's. Dropped it into my 92 Si, Engine runs strong, no burning oil, great compression, but the thing sounds like a pissed off typewriter. The LMA's felt ok when I swapped out the cams, but now that it's running, you can definately tell they need replacing. But at $274 for 8 ITR LMA's, I need to wait a month or two before I can buy the replacements. I want to know if I should park the car or can I run it with the bad LMA's for a short period of time before replacement?
Vehicle/Engine specs:
92 EG Si
92 B16A(CTR intake/GSR exhaust Cams, CTR dual IN/EX valve springs, ITR 4-1 Header, HKS drop in filter)
99 GSR trans
Thanks for any help guys,
Tim

i assume by lma you mean the lost motion assembly correct ?? if it ticks that bad it might be a good idea to park it and save damaging anything elses and your valve lash is ok ??
