Default B16 throttle body on a D16 IM?

I was told I should use a b16 TB on my IM, for better air flow and all that good stuff. Anyways, just wondering what I need to make it work? The b16 TB bolts right up from what I hear, but what sensors do I need? I'm doing A/T - M/T and want a b16 TB, so I have a 00 M/T y8 IM with NO sensors. Can I just bolt a b16 TB up to a bunch of Y8 sensors or do I need B16 sensors as well? and which B16 TB is the best to get?

I'm in the same boat. Swapped vtec head on my single cam with the Y8 intake manifold. So i'd be interested in what is needed also. And not to jack the thread, but will the larger throttle body hurt my gas mileage? Thanks

I think that the B18 and B16 TBs are the same diameter. B18s should be common and thus more affordable.

To make use of this mod, you will need to port match the tb opening on the intake manifold. You may gain some top end power but at the expense of low end. If you have an aftermarket cam or forced induction, then you'll see some decent gains. Otherwise, you're likely to make the car slower overall.

The throttle position sensor should not be tampered with! Otherwise it will have to be recalibrated. There is no need to exchange the D series tps with the B series.

Some TBs have the MAP sensor onboard, others have a vacuum port and the sensor is on the firewall. It's up to you to determine which is which. Anyway, the MAP sensors are the same between B and D series.

Your Y8 manifold probably requires you to move the IAT sensor into the intake tube. This is a completely different issue than the TB swap.

IAT sensor? if you mean my intake tube needing a 3rd hole, my car is a original 2000 EX so it has 2 holes and a nipple already on the intake.
