Default B16 swap into a 92 Civic Hatch... help needed

I have the B16a2 out of my 99Si, and im gonna be buying a 92 civic hatch in the future for this to go in. what all do i need? shift linkage im sure, motor mounts. Heres my questions

Do i have to rewire the motor with Sior GSR wiring along with the ECU?

Will the 92 Civic's axles go with this motor?

Can i use the axles from my SI and just swap it over to the 92? it seems easier, plus gives me a reason so get new ones for the SI.

You get where im coming from. Please list EVERYTHING, and little things that ill have to do. List everything thats on my SI that will work for the 92 civic. Thanks for help.

use your hatch wire harness, and get a p28 ecu. or obd1 to obd2 conversion harness then your obd2 ecu will plug and play. you can just about trnasfer almost everythings from the si into your 92 hatch.

i got a obd1 ecu and intake if u need it but everthing from ur si will go into the hatch except for the si wiring harness......it would be easier to get a 94-00 integra wiring harness because they plug into the stock shock tower that is in the hatch. The only problem with the integra wiring harness on the Si motor is that the IAT sensor placement is in the intake manifold instead of the actual intake like the si is.

For the motor mounts: u need to get a rear integra mount
lower integra tranny mount
integra driver side mount, including the bracket that bolts onto the motor.
u can use the Si ac mount and for the upper tranny mount u can use the stock hatch one.

all 94-00 integra mounts and with the Si ac mount u cannot keep ac u need the delsol vtece ac mount in order to retain ac.

Also what model hatch is it? Is it wired for VTEC?

Man im not sure about the wiring for VTEC. Im just looking for a civic CX or DX... i dont know yet. Which model should i get to make things easier? Well the Si harness is staying in the Si cause im still using that car. Ill get the GSR harness, and Integra motor mounts, an del sol AC mount correct? now... why cant i use the Si ECU? Dont i have to use new wiring to completely wire the whole engine bay to the sensors, then to the ECU? im not sure about that either. break it down for me. Where does all the wiring go from the sensors? and from the ECU harness where do the wires go? Im gonna get someone to help me with this because i dont want to mess **** up. Last question... whats the difference in all the hatch models? 92-93? 92 is the year they made with smooth edges until what year though? 93 or 95? thats all i got for now.

replace anything that wears out while the motor is out. EG: timing belt, seals etc.

clutch too maybe?

save pain later.

I think there can't be any problems with wiring. But if it dose not work, first of all chek the power, is it come to ECU. There can be 100 of situations. Codes will be on chech engine light.

Axles will not fit from D series gearbox on your B series gear box. Find B16A2 gear box axles, both of them.

You will need the pasenger side B series mount too. That big mount under intake manifold. D series will not fit. Others will fit with that swap.

Acseleration cable must fit.

Well mounts and linkage ect are the least of my worries, those are simple. I just dont know anything about the wiring. You got the ECU, the harness/wires that come off of that, go where? to another harness in the engine bay that splits? Next, you got all the wires that hook up to sensors on the motor.... where do those go? My question basically is this... do you have to reaplce ALL the wiring that runs from the ECU to the all the sensors in the motor? is that what's considered a GSR harness? (all wiring).

Okay.. now to the ECU's. im looking at either P08, P28, or P30. Preferebly the P30 because it was made for the B16 motor. But... if i go with the P28 ECU, who can burn a base fuel map for me? A fuel map for the 99Si. You dont need HOndata to do that do you?

u cannnot use the 99-00 si ecu because it is obd2 and the 92-95 hatch is obd1 which means that the wire harness that plugs into the ecu's will be different......
o and i hav a ecu that was dyno tuned for a internally stock normally aspirated b16 though it can handle other engine modifications........just bumped up a little for a little more "juice/power" as some would say....it came out of my hatch but i hav no use for it any more because i am going a different route........... click link under signature

and no u do not need hondata.....the ecu i hav is plug and play remeber the ecu is the most important part runnin a gsr to a p30 to a chipped p28 the differences will be night and day and if u do choose to get ur ecu from someone else other than myself make sure u get a obd1 if u buy a 92-95 hatch and obd2 if u go 96-00 and in my own opinion i think the 92-95 vx hatch will be the best candidate

the VX hatch is wired for vtec already but the only downfall is the 5 wire o2 sensor, but it can be wired to a four wire directly to the ecu.........and it is the lightest model and it comes with a tach

Okay i guess i need some things cleared up... All 1992 models were wired for VTEC right? i thought that the VX was wired for VTEC only in one year. Can someone tell me all the specs for the CX, DX, VX and SI, only in the 1992 year though. unless 1993 is good to use for VTEC. and VX has a tach.. that i would like.

You might not wanna limit your search just to the 92 or 93 year. That whole generation 92-95 didn't see much change. Might help in your search.

dont use an integra wiring harness...just find a '92-'95 EX harness, you might have to extend a few wires. ECU: either p30 or p28. p28 you have to program to run dual cam. p30 you dont. your choice....integra linkage, integra tranny vibration mount, del sol a/c bracket mount, and integra axles. let me know if you have any other questions.

I found all the specs for all the models... i guess the last question is... other than the VX and Si, what years were wired for vtec for the DX? i know of 1992, thats it.

the 92 is the only one........i tlhink in canada more of them were wired but not sure.

I just looked up, u can use gsr axles instead of taking out ur axles out of the Si.

Well i think im gonna stick with the 1992 DX model and throw in the B16, buy the GSR wiring harness, and just use the Si axles because my Si is gonna need new axles anyways. So Si axles will work huh? And last thing... NONE of my motor mounts will work huh. someone told me i had to use ALL integra mounts. Im i going to have any problems with throttle cable, shift linkage or anything like that? what little mods do i have to. thanks.

u can use integra shift linkage.......i used si

For the motor mounts u can use the stock upper tranny mount from the DX and the ac mount u can use the stock si, everything else will be integra mounts. Lower tranny, rear, and driver side mount.

you can use ur stock throttle cable with some "get-hoe" fabrication of the throttle cable bracket or u can just buy an integra cable....they sell them brand new at Inlinefour or Sohfast if you can't find it used.
