So I dida swap on my 99 si about 4 months ago after i blew the original motor. I went to pull out the spark plugs and they were champion plugs with short threads. I bought new ngk plugs and 2 different places gave Melkite with long threads. I don't noe what year the motor is but it's a b16a. Could having short plugs hurt my motor? The only problem I have is when I start it up cold it will shut off if I let off the throttle but it runs fine when itswarmed up. Can anyone help me out?

dump all those plugs you have into the garbage and get some NGK v-powers, gap to .044. and done

nothing but ngk and denso should run in hondas.

i'd personally run ngk g-power over v.

But my question is are they supposed to have long threads or short?

I never noticed, just get the plugs for your engine. Or since it is a swap, look up the original year and model the engine came from.

thats why we use NGK and not chumps for plugs
