b16 mounts issue! plz help
Hello Guys,
Recently i can feel a clunk sound from my engine especially when changing gears.
the sound come just after the release the clutch.
I went to the work shop for check up and they requested changing the engine mount and transmission mount.
those 2 mounts costs about 200$
Are these mounts behind this sound and is it normal that these mounts get damaged!! (car has 102K miles)
Parts # 50824-S04-013 and 50805-S04-000
thanks for any helpful info.

oem mounts? Maybe also try the energy suspension add on bushing insert so they'll handle a little more of the engine movement.. or just go hasport or innovative? I love my innovative mounts and felt a huge difference, then again my car came with ebayers..

We have Energy inserts in the torque mounts on our car. I definitely like them, though they did make the car a little buzzy at certain rpms. We originally had a combination of Energy and Prothane inserts in all the mounts. I thought it was acceptable, but my father drives the car, and he thought it shook too much, so I ended up taking them out of the rear mount and the upper mounts. Even with inserts in the torque mounts only, the car feels better and tends to wheel hop less.
