B16 or GSR Swap
Okay I have the money for both .... I'm gonna be building N/A. Which motor would be a better choice for a build?
Also ... if I decided to go turbo instead, which one would be the better choice?

gsr of course.. you get 1.8 liters of displacement off the bat. its a win win situation. Theres a guy on youtube. I beleive his name is Yoshi built eg6. He basically just has a stock gsr bottom end with a built head by endyn with a hytech header and it destroys everything. its pretty quick.. later on you can upgrade your 1.8 to a beastly 2.0 liter by getting it resleaved to 85mm pistons. or you can go poor man type R with some ctr pistons.. THE CHOICE IS YOURS! AND MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON US ALL!

but for real, its a pretty easy answer. b18c has more tourqe. b16 feels like a d'series until vtec engages. b18 responds better to bolt ons and the b16 is dang near max out, yo.

Not this again. If you've got the money for either one than its kind of a no brainer to go for the B18C, other than its cost there aren't really any other disadvantages over the B16A.

gsr for sure, like everybody else said, bigger displacement and more torque and a few more hp. if you have the money definitly go gsr. i didnt have the money and bought a b16, its alright and it gets my hatch down the road but id still rather have gsr. as far as turbo goes, theyre both high compression and youd have to rebuild your bottom end either way, but the gsr still has the bigger displacement soo...

yeah, go with the Gsr, I mean I have a b16 in my hatch, but like everybody else is saying.. the Gsr has more torque than the b16a, it doesn't have more Hp, though.. anyways, since you have the money the gsr would be the better one, and as for the turbo, the b16 head is a better flowing head.. but you can always have your gsr head worked and everything.. ++ for the gsr...

wow...........that was lame. tell you what, what kind of car do you have? then i will put a gsr motor in the same kind of vehicle and dominate your b16. power to weight ratio is someone's excuse who can't afford to buy something better. the b16 has to be the most over rated motor in Honda's history.
