b series throttle body
i couldve sworn that i saw something on here a little while ago about b-series throttle bodies fitting on a d-series intake manifold. but when i looked at the throttle body on my d16z6 and an ls throttle body i had lying around, the ls doesnt have the map sensor on it like the d16 does. so will the b series throttle body actually work on it or no?

You're gonna feel like an idiot when i tell you this, but bolt the throttle body up and tee a vacuum line into the fuel pressure regulator line and hook the map up to it. It just needs vacuum from anywhere on the intake manifold.

so i noticed that the d16 throttle body has the FITV or whatever it is on the throttle body itself and the b series one is attached to the manifold...so how is that supposed too work?

Re: (crispy93)
There are actually a few different types of TB's. They use the same bolt pattern, but they differ mainly by MAP sensor and FITV location. Both can be on the TB itself or firewall (MAP) or IM (FITV). OBD0 usually has a remote MAP & fitv (if any), obd1 usually has both MAP and FITV on the TB, and newer TB's usually have the FITV remote.
I have a 94 and 95 LS TB, which are exactly the same as my 92, 93, and 95 d16z6 TB's except for size. You have to get a similar TB or mess around with vac and/or coolant lines.
