it a good device.. and you dont need that "part" to disable it... if you look at how it works all you need is a hammer...

realize the main point of making the autolock work is the word "pivot" if the pivot on the autolock is not flat it will be disabled.. and also realize that it was not made for our floorboard so you need to hammer down the lumps under the carpet and pivot the autolock flat so it stays stable...

this is all generated with common sense and my own experiments...

It can be defeated like any other anti theft device but it can be difficult for even an experienced thief. There have been a handful of posts on here lately of people who have had their car broke into and the autoloc kept the car from disappearing. I say for $50 you can hardly afford not to have one but don't depend soley on it. Get a good alarm and do a kill switch also.

ya the autolock can be pivoted. If u are going to get it, it would be better if ur car is manual, so u can put it on the clutch pedal. My friend had an auto EK and had the autolock on the brake. He parked it outside on the street and the next morn it was gone. When he got it back, the autolock was still intact. My theory was that they lived locally and didnt have to use the freeway. Therefore they used the HAND BRAKE to slow down not really needing to use the normal foot brake.
