ok when i bought my motor the dude told me he only sales auto, and i have a 5 speed and i got the auto because he said it was better to get auto cause he never know how hard the people drive the 5 speed what do i need to do to get this to work with my car

First off, the guy you bought that motor from is an idiot. What transmission a car has and how hard the car is driven are not mutually exclusive. Anyone can drive a car hard no matter what transmission the car has.

Second, if you are installing JUST the engine in the car, just strip everything off your old engine and put it all on your new one; Throw it in the car and you are good to go.

everyone on here always makes everything difficult all you need to do is swap the flexplate for a flywheel and as far as motor being beat on sohc4life is wrong it is much harder for someone with a automatic to over rev the engine like it is on a manual car

I am well aware that it is harder to over rev an automatic, but who is to say someone with an automatic doesn't take the car to redline EVERYtime they take off from a dead stop, and just doesn't drive the living hell out of the car? And who is to say you don't get a manual engine from a car that somones grandma drove to the grocery store and back twice a week and only reved the engine to 3000 RPM? How the engine was treated is completely dependant on WHO drove the car, not what transmission they had.

Also, if he had a 96-00 civic, the intake manifolds are different between automatic and manual cars. I don't know everything there is to know about the 92-95 civics because I have never owned one, but I know there is more than just a "flexplate" difference between auto and manual parts...

to let you know sohc4life to over rev means go past redline also the 96-2000 automatic intake is the better intake it has a better iacv also if you never owned one then you dont know i have done many swaps auto manual obd0 obd1 obd2 and never changed the intake manifold once never had a problem if you know what your doing

Everybody knows when you buy a swap you hope the motor came from an automatic car.

With the '92 - '95 d-series engines there really isn't any difference between the automatic and manual versions, intake manifold is the same, they are different for '96 - '00 though as SOHC4Life 96 stated. The only difference i can think of is that your new engine will have an extra piece on the throttle body for the automatic transmission kickdown cable. just unbolt your flexplate and bolt on you flywheel and clutch.
