Attention 96-97 DelSol Si (sohc vtec) owners~
For any of you 96-97 Delsol Si owners who are running a factory SOHC VTEC engine. Your cars are supposedly OBD2 equipped but I'm a little curious about a few things. Can you owners help me confirm this ? It's a curious subject for me.
Here's the curious items itchin my brain:
1) Can you take your ecu out and see what part number is on the side, whether it be a P28 or something else? And if it IS a P28 ecu, can you tell me if the ecu plugs look like OBD2 or OBD1 plugs? And those of you with digital camera access, can you take some pics of the ecu plugs and part number sticker for me also?
here's an ecu plug diagram, to help:
2) Is the motor in your 96-97 delsol Si a D16Z6 or a D16Y8 engine? can you take a picture of this for me as well?

No pics Katman, but the 96-97 del Sol Si <u>should be</u> D16Y8....the 93-95 Si was D16Z6

Hmm, now I wonder if honda used the D16Y8 with OBD1 eletronics/ignition (dual grey plug distributor)
I just wanna know about the ecu now...
