Hand tight is fine. I have not heard any precautions concerning the water jacket.

i just bought some ARP head studs and remember reading the water jacket thing.. but i think that's for engines where the studs themselves are exposed to coolant. hondas are not this way. (this is my assumption... contacting ARP is the best thing to do)

definately use the lube that comes with the studs, and otherwise follow their instructions.

correct. v8's are the motors that need sealent on the end of the stud cuz they go through. they need to seal so coolent dont run through. arp lube the ends and hand tight the studs to the block.

hope you invested in a good head gasket like a cometic. be sure to follow torqueing order and start at low torque then work your way up to what they are suppose to be. let the car run tell its full operating temp then crack the nut loose(not completly loosen it just tell they crack)then retorque one at a time.

First off, create your own thread, don't bump a 4 year old, dead, unrelated thread.

Second off, if they're all an inch too short, you ordered the wrong studs.
