Default ARGH!!! Help with Rear Mount on b18 Swap!!

ok, I got the swap in place but the rear t-bracket is giving me a fit!!

the rubber mount is the stock civic part and the t-bracket is from a 95 integra.

when it's sitting loose, it looks like it wants to line up but when I tilt it in place it puts the t-bracket hole at the very back of the rubber mount hole and I cant wrestle it in place.

I was under the impression all I needed was the factory integra t-bracket and I could use my stock civic mount???

what the hell is going on here??

You need the T bracket mount from a B series del sol or 99-00 SI civic most likely.

Don't quote me 100% on that though. But I'm pretty sure I remember getting one of them from the dealer or a friend for my b18C

does it make a difference that the chassis was an automatic?? I'm using a stock 95 LS driver side mount + block bracket as well as a custom innovative passenger side mount.

the back consists of the 95 t-bracket and stock civic rubber mount. I dont think the auto or manual rubber mount is different though??

You know...thats probably it.
I really want to say that there is a difference between the auto and 5spd mounts. I think there was a thread (probably auto->manual based) that showed the differences.
I'll start looking

well, i couldnt find what I remember seeing...
I cant say for sure, but I really think that one of the mounts is more forward than the others.

And...they do have different part numbers

nevermind, the auto mount has #23211 and the manual mount has #23185.

so should I be good with the civic manual rubber mount or should I get the integra manual mount??

are the manual chassis and automatic chassis crossmembers the same?? I honestly cant tell from the majestic site as they have several listings for both...

My friend installed a obd2 gsr swap in a eg auto. I'll ask him which mounts and brackets are needed.

this is interesting cause i'll b doing a b18c1 swap soon on my auto-to-manual 93 civic. When I did the auto-to-manual swap, the only thing I changed was the passenger side mount, i didn't touch the rear mount. I hope u figure it out cause i'll b in the same position as u.

the rear mount is not any different when postion is concerned. the upper trans bracket on the frame rail is different. if you have the auto to manual trans bracket, the rest should go in easy. I would suggest lining up the rear mount, then the drivers mount, then the torque mounts, and then the trans mount. it may be your problem.

holy crap I got it in....

however, it was not "easy" in the least. I had to have just about every bolt loose and the two lower t-bracket bolts out completely. I guess my back rubber mount has just about had it or something because even then I had to stand in the engine bay and reach around the eninge and push the bolt through while using my body to tilt the engine and then I had to use a prybar on the opposite side of the mount to push down on the metal sleeve while pushing on the bolt. I got it to grab just enough and then I slid out of the engine bay ever so carefully and under the car and used a wrench to get the threads to pull the bolt through THEN I put the two lower bolts in using a jack to tilt the engine and I still crossthreaded both of them.

oh well, it's in and ALL of the bolts are tight now.

damn thing is SOOOO tight, I swear its like solid mounts. my d16 would wobble, this thing makes the car wobble lol

not to mention that now my alternator is hitting the frame. dammit now what do I do...
