Default Apexi WS

I just put the WS on my car this weekend and I am soo happy with it. I took of the Apexi Dunk and my car is now quiet...thank god. It is such a difference. I can actually talk to a passenger while accelerating. There is no buzz either. If anyone is looking for an exhaust that is like stock, get the WS. It sounds stock, but I can still feel the pull of the Dunk....

Bought it on Groupbuy for $390 shipped. Great deal.

Same with me spade. Ultra sleeper look (minus the bling bling):

BTW - The car is for sale.

Would it still be quiet on a hybrid?

My car is a hybrid....the only thing I (or anyone else) ever hear is the intake. It's quiet as hell.

Nice, I see it on sale at Opions Auto Salon for $385, I might have to check it out. Anybody interested in buying a Tanabe Racing Medallion?

Don't call it WAZZU anymore. Actually, whoever made the decision is an idiot. It won't last.

The Dunk was a great exhaust, but was becoming too loud for me, plus the tip is HUGE. I wanted something quiet. The Dunk is pretty loud, but sounds the best out of any of the loud exhausts out there. Deep tone and not whiney. When you put your foot into the gas with the Dunk, people knew you meant business.

I put mine on my hatch this weekend and the "z" pipe it all over the heat shield that protects the fuel tank. If I remove the heat sheild, it will be touching the strap that holds the tank on the car. In the end, I put a big stainless radiator clamp around the pipe and the heat sheild so that they would stop vibrating against eachother, it helps, but it's ghetto. Did you have this problem?

Mine also came without any hardware or gaskets. Importparts.com told me to call Apex'i, Apex'i told me to call Importparts.com. In the end, I bought stainless hardware and cut my own gaskets. It wasn't a fun weekend for exhausts for me.

I had all the parts. I had the same problem as far as the Z-pipe is concerned, but I solved it a different way. I took off the heat shield and used header wrap to stop the vibrating (three times around). The header wrap is also designed to keep heat in, so I don't think much is getting out with the triple wrap. It makes no noise and after 300 miles the tape shows no wear. I put up with heat shields with my last exhaust, so I was not going to have them on my car. Hopefully I don't explode...that would suck.
