Default APEXi rev/speed meter question...

Does anyone have pictures of the APEXi RSM in their car? Also, does it have a built-in shift light? If so how bright is it? Or do I have to buy an APEXi shift light like the one pictured below?
How efficient is the RSM compare to a typical tachometer? I'm planning of installing my tach this weekend but I dont want a monster tach blocking my windshield so I was thinking of just installing an RSM since my friend is planning of buying me one for my birthday. Besides it would have a cleaner look underneath my head unit but I'm concern whether I would actually notice the shift light.

the apexi RSM looks similar to the SAFC and VAFC except it's a RSM. from what i read in a magazine they're pretty accurate. just be sure to order the g-sensor with it.

I'm planning of using the RSM as my tachometer since I'm not feeling the gigantic autometer tach I have. I'm planning of mounting it on the dash right above the climate control and my head unit area.
Would I be able to set the desired RPMs I want like a standard tachometer? Does anyoen have pics of it on their ride with the apexi shift light with it?

Well I've confirmed from a friend that it can be used as a tachometer however I'm still curious about people's opinion of it vs. a typical autometer tach.
THANKS BTW for the replies

the thing about using the RSM as a tach is the visibility. it will be hard to keep your eye both on the road and the tach at the same time. you're better off with something like autometer except not so big.

Well yes visibility is my main concern but I'm just going to buy the shift light along with it, but another concern is the brightness of the shift light (APEXi).
