Apexi N1 exhaust!
I just purchased a Apexi N1 exhaust for my EG. Does it come with all the neccesary hardware to install it and would you consider it a pretty easy install. Also to anybody who owns this exhaust, what do you think of it. Thanks for any info.

Yeah i just put mine on a couple of weeks ago. It comes with all the necessary hardware, the only things you need to reuse are the bolts from the header to the start of the catback pipe and you need to reuse all of your hanger bushings. Its a really easy install just jack up the car take out the old exhaust and put in the new. Couldnt be any easier except for all the rust and **** that falls into your eyes.

Re: Apexi N1 exhaust! (VegasHatch)
i have the N1 exhaust on my coupe as well. i personally love the exhaust and am very satisfied with it. my car is dropped with neuspeed sports (1.75F and 1.5R), and i have one (but not overwhelming) problem with it. no matter how slow i go over speedbumps, my resonator seems to tap the really high ones. at first i wasn't too careful about it, and i hit canister. other than that, i love it, it looks good, and it sounds good to me. i personally think it looks intimidating on some cars.. but that's me. heh.

Re: Apexi N1 exhaust! (VegasHatch)
I've had mine for a few years, but soon I'm going to be upgrading to 2.5 inch exhaust/cat/muffler, so it's coming off. I loved it, great sounding, high quality cat back, but a little too big in California. Never had a clearance issue, but I felt it stuck out too far, so I had a muffler shop "adjust it" by pushing it back about 2 inches, and he made me a mini skidplate just in case.

I have it and now it has a nice hole in the muffler from scraping it. I going to get a ES Muffler and just redo the rear section.
On my b16 with test pipe that thing gets loud, with the sliencer in there it isnt too bad, also it got me pulled over a couple times and attracts alot of attention from others, you wont believe how many people told me "sir your muffler is falling off". I even had a person get out of his truck and knock on my window to tell me that
It's a good system but the rear section hangs too low on the hatchbacks.

just recently purchased a custom 3" N1 exhaust off a coupe. Im gonna see if i can get that to work (prob not)....if not then i'm gonna get some mandrel 2.5" piping...hopefully i won't fall into the clearance problem

Re: Apexi N1 exhaust! (boostsohfast)
Have you guys noticed when installing the 2.5 inch exhaust piping that you lost considerable amounts of backpressure leading to a loss of torque at the low end? I sure have... thats why I was thinking of going to a 2.25 inch piping. I understand you have a turbo but it all depends on how much boost are pushing. Too big of a pipe and you loss most of your low end... nuf said. good luck to you. enjoi

Yes.... but you have to keep in mind... hondas dont have low end in the first place. Its all about high end and power curve from around 6K and up.
