Default Anyone seen Tanabe's new titanium catback?

This exhaust was actually introduced in Japan a few months ago because it's in Tanabe's ad in one of my old Option magazines from earler this year. The canister is made of titanium, and the b-pipe is made of stainless steel. The shape of the tip reminds me of my old 5Zigen Fireball.

Is anyone going to try out this exhaust?

it defeats the purpose kinda of having a Ti-exhaust if the piping is stainless steel. now if the whole thing was Ti. then it'd be worth the money.

I like tanabe but $750!! Maybe it is 2 1/2 inch that is the only way I could see it being that much or maybe it includes free worldwide next day shipping.

Or because the muffler is titanium. But I still don't see how that's worth a huge sum of ... $750! Titanium is lightweight and strong and all, but that's way too much for just a titanium muffler. It's not like the piping is Ti, also. Draggin said the piping is SS, so you're basically paying $750 for a SS cat-back with a lightweight muffler.

EDIT--just realized ian said the same thing above.

Tabnbe = grapefruit shooter, i think that the 700 dollar tag is reasonable if you look at the price of the other titanium sistems on the market, mainly the amuse. And the Kakimoto and Futjitzbo systems.

So..... its a decent buy, and will be very light, due to the fact it is made of titanium.

I sold a generic n1 style titanium axleback for 400 so i guess 750 is reasonable.

No, only the muffler is Ti, so it'll probably save maybe 2-4 pounds off a regular T304 cat-back. I'd rather save another $300 and just get a regular stainless exhaust instead of one with a Ti muffler.
