Anyone rewire horn completely with Momo and Hella?
I just bought a hella supertone and I have a momo steering wheel with a quick realease and i was wondering how to connect it to the steering wheel?
I ran a new wire from the new horns with the relay supplied but cant figure out how to connect the ground behind the wheel
I have searched and all of the topics dont help
Thanks

damn thats confusing me... why didnt you just use the oem wires on the horn, run two wires for the second horn then then connect the steering wheel as the post i put above... you dont need the second relay for the horns to work because its already relayed??

the wire/s at the actual horn itself << your oem horn. if its one wire you can ground it as the photos above. but if you have two wires you have to wire a negative power source to it. not as a negative ground. so one wire will be the main + and the sec.wire will be the main - wire. see if that works

well the problem is under the hood at the relay the way you have it set up you have no - power going to you horn button. and you have the horns grounded instead of having - power going to them. the 85 should be your - power that goes to the 86 plug that goes to the horn button .
but like i said you dont need that relay it just makes things harder to show and understand. i would scrap what you have done and start it over and wire it up the oem way.the easy way. either way you are going to have a hard time getting it to ground at the horn button unless you use the shoe horn. or some other method. good luck.

The only reason why its wired like this is cause this is the way hella says to do it
in the directions
so what your saying is if i switch those connections i still will need some way to ground it in the steering column?
thanks

yea i first used the directions and found them not to work with hondas because we are on a switched negative as opposed to switched + as most hella applications. and yes you will still have to have some way to switch the horn on by grounding the button and the steering column... hence the use of the shoe horn is your only way.

yea if you follow the thread i posted you will have no problem with anything, and if you do just pm me and i can walk you through it... i forget off hand how i disabled the srs, but ill remember once i look through some notes when you get to that point..
i know its hard to start something then having to do thing over a different way. but it really is easier..
