Have you tried contacting the dealer yet?
also carfax and one other report is available for free on the car page: https://www.carfax.com/VehicleHistory/p/Report.cfx?partner=CFL_0&vin=2HGEJ634XVH102530
VIN based on the URL is 2HGEJ634XVH102530
Edit: Car spent 7 years in New York. Potential rust factor.
Call the dealer and check the web page and it has all the info you'd want...

Re: Anyone know this ek9 tribute, dallas, k swap
Thank you yeah I went through all of that information just hoping I could find someone who was involved with the build to determine the quality of work as this would be an out-of-state purchase. I'd much rather purchase from a private buyer, they probably have 10 -11 in the car. I think their ask is a bit optimistic but it's probably a fair amount of money in the car

I don't know the car's story but I think their (dealer) estimate of 25K spent on upgrading the car is way off base, At heart it's a $1500 DX with a $500 paint job and $4000-$5000 powertrain swap, $300 rims and most likely Ebay lowering springs. If I dropped a turd and put a Type R sticker on it would you consider it polished and purchase it for 3x the amount it's worth?..LOL

Looks like they didn't even bother to repaint the engine bay while the engine was out. Corners likely cut many other places as well. The little **** that controls the center air vents is missing. The stereo looks like it's a $60 Walmart unit.
Bottom line is don't buy a car that's already modified.

Just imperitive when buying a modified car that you know what it should be in stock form, and how all the mods should and do work I guess.

I mean they look like real r wheels with the 5 lugs so street value for that is about 1k. But that does not justify the price by any means.
Look at all the black soot on the rear bumper lip. 15k and you still can’t get a Honda thats not burning oil lol. There seems to be some surface rust right in that area too.

And I bet when he traded it in they gave him 60-70% of that “15k” value. Smh

I did talk to the seller very nice however just can't get any major details and definitely don't feel the car is worth 15, if anyone here on the forum can direct me to a really nice EK that's well done I'm a cash buyer will wire the money immediately ,

Are you out of your mind? Wire money and may not get car..just the shaft. If, you want to take that risk try to find a reputable broker/dealer that is licensed, insured and has referrals you can talk to, to verify legitimacy. Otherwise, find one in your state you can drive to see.

Much older than most on here...i was active and tracked an eg years ago, then went to s2000... nsx.....now multiple porsches later
Maybe a better way to put it is i ve got the $ and will not waste time. We can do the sale through escrow service and everyone is secure. I ve done plenty of deals without personally looking at a car...just gotta pay for one you all to inspect/drive and sign off. Appreciate feedback. Just looking to get back into the raw all motor b series itr/ctr experience.

I have a B20 with LS head non Vtec in mine: 95 EX coupe. It's a fun, punchy ride. It never ran right with the P75 ecu it had in it so I purchased basemap that has the o2 sensor delete and it's been great ever since. I may have it dyno- tuned (by basemap seller Phearable) but, the basemap is so good I doubt it's worth the dyno price for the power gained.
Try dyno tuners in your area..they may have knowledge of people selling.

It when I read 300 hp I said boy that seems pretty optimistic with the cold air intake, back in the day you could add stickers but it's hard to get to 300 hp with stickers .... good to see someone in here at 50 years old, I'm right behind you

He's not obtaining 300hp naturally aspirated unless he has a V6 swap.
I'm driving around in a car my 21 year old son should own..lol. Poor man's mid-life crisis car. Actually, I choose to drive it because I like lightweight cars (2050 pounds).,like to feel like I'm part of the road and like to listen to a Honda 4 cylinder engine
