Default Anyone know the correct way to mount a 4pt harness into a EJ1?

I wanna buy the Sparco Clubman 4PT Bolt in. I have a Sprint seat in the car now. Whats the correct way to mount the harness? Do I use the 2 driver's seatbelt points and the 2 in the rear?

the correct way is to mount the harness to a harness bar that is in a car with a complete roll cage

well, the lap belts are too long, so I recommend moving the mounting points way back into the rear footwell, and using reinforcement plates from under the car to mount it. for the rear, you can use the rear deck with reinforcements from underneath, or the rear seatbelt mounting point. They key is not the have the rear straps anywhere close to vertical. In an accident, if your spine and the rear straps are ever at the same angle, it'll crush your spine.

The correct way to mount a a 4 point or a 5 point is to mount it in conjuction w/ a cage. I will not give out advice that puts your life in danger even more in the case of a rollover.

no you don't but without a roll bar/cage if you roll you will be stuck in that position and not be able to get out of the way of the colapsing roof. while ur stock seat belt alows you to get out of the way of something like that. a 4 or 5 point harness will hold you right there untill you head is a gummy bear and your dead.

You explained yourself already.
1. Buy cage
2. Buy harness
3. Install cage
4. take harness and tie into a noose
5. Loop harness around neck
6. Start car shift into gear and stomp on gas pedal.
7. Let go of steering wheel and slam and brake pedal.
Hah hah. Just kidding. If you still want a good harness but don't want a cage then buy a three point harness and there's more adj. , but what do you need a 4 or 5 point harness for anyways?

what would you like in the chance of a rollover? a 25% chance of living, or a 2% chance?

with a harness and no rollbar if you roll, you will probably die.

if you want a harness, you need to get a rollbar w/ harness bar.

Man, for someone not wanting to give advice you sure don't have a problem throwing you opinion around smacking evryone in the ***** with it. Why not keep it to yourslef or atleast use a little tact when expressing it. You might not drive like an ******* but you sure seemed to act like one.
