Before I bought my car I had a pair of 6.5" components w/ xover, and frankly wasnt buying a smaller pair to fit in the car. I managed to comfortably remove enough of the speaker pocket and use a spacer ring to fit a fairly deep midbass and speaker in the door, all while retaining use of stock speaker grill and no bumping the window glass.

I did the passenger side in June, and due to lack of motivation, didnt do the drivers side until today. I also ran 12g through the factory wire boots, I just dont trust stock wiring to 100+ watts I'm running to each side. I took SOME pics of when I did that a few weeks ago, and took quite a few pics of trimming the door panels today to fit the speaker. I'm a N3wb here and didnt know if its already been FAQ'ed, or if there was any interest in seeing how to easily do it. Let me know if anyone wants it written up/pics posted.
