Anyone here have a d15 non vtec w/ a cam gear?
On a d15 motor, what should be the setting with an adjustable cam gear? I know the best way to find out would be to dyno it but my pocket is really lacking something to make that happen. So if anyone can give me setting or something. I only have a few bolt ons. I was thinking to retard it like 2 degrees and see if it ran better or worse and if it ran worse than advance it 2 degrees and go from there. What do you think?

3-4 degrees retard. Might have to slot the dist mounting holes to get 19 degrees timing though.
You can go as far as 5 degrees retard, but all bottom end is lost.
