I looked at their lineup of gauges, very nice, but now I got a question. They have a great sweep of ranges for oil temp, pressure etc. and from their price 170 each I assume they are elecronic gauges. From you experience mechanical or electronic gauges are better/more reliable?

i prefer electric for water and oil temp and pressures, since I don't want hot water or oil lines going into the cabin of my car

these are not overlays- you replace each gauge in your oem cluster with these- not the faces

Electric or electronic? I mean from what I read the electric ones do not have such a broad sweep.

So does that mean you can use a cluster w/o a tach since your replacing anyways? Also, What does that little LED do that is in the bottom right of the speedo.
Edit:: haha a closer inspection of the first picture says what the LED does... stupid me!

why does it matter for this application?</TD></TR></TABLE>
Because if thy're the same diameter as a del sol guage then I will buy them and see if I can retro fit them into my cluster. If the diameter is the same then it might be possible.

No, you wouldn't want to use that because it is accessory power (key position I). The gauge cluster powers up when the ignition is turned on (key position II).

Well normally I would say check out the sellers feedback which is good but this seller just got a negative feedback on his last transaction so be careful. All in all, i speak for the EG guys that would buy one if they made a direct counter-part for the EG!
