I believe somewhere on the internet they show how to break them.. but overall they are the best security u can get besides.. running 20k volts thru the car to shock the person or taking the ECU with u.. hmm maybe somone should sell those Boots that meter maids put on people's car's when they don't pay there parking tickets

I use one on my hatch. Maybe it can get broken into but never really heard any stories. Its done good things for me... Just to advise you it would be better to lock it on ur clutch pedal instead of the brake. BTW if you have a dead pedal rest its gonna be a bitch to put on. Otherwise spend 40 and you'll sleep better at night

I've been using the Autolock on my clutch pedal for awhile now. Yesterday, I picked up a 2nd Autolock. Now I use one on the clutch and one on the brake. I can't believe how they both fit so nicely on there.

haha I say get a third 1 lock it on the gas pedal and get the club. Although it will take 10 mins to actually get the car started you'll surely be safe LOL.

i would think that i would have to use the autolock on my clutch because i couldnt use it on my brake pedal since my brake lights go on even when i press the pedal with the car off,..does the autolock not press the pedal down or something???

Autolock prevents the pedal from going down. A lever type thing in the back pulls up and locks itself.

Hahah dude I'm actually already using this funky steering wheel locking device I had imported from the UK. That makes it 3 total mechanical locks. I've invested $1.5k into my security system, but these cheaper mechanical locks are what I'm relying on more. Brute force (mechanical devices) > brains (alarms)

I'm really depending on my hidden fuel kill switch also.

This is what I've done so far:

2 Autolocks
1 UK steering wheel lock
2 sets of wheel locks
1 hidden fuel pump kill
Clifford Concept 600 w/ ignition & starter kill
main siren
backup battery powered siren
air horns
interior pain generator
backup battery
2 stage shock sensor
2 stage proximity sensor
tilt sensor
glass sensor

--------

DIY security mods I did:

re-routed hood release cable
removed driver side power door lock switch
removed exterior door moulding nipples
removed trunk release cable
removed trunk lock rods
removed door lock rods
installed sedan keyless door handles

Honestly, after dumping $8k into my Si so far, spending another $1.5k in security mods was worth every single penny to me. I've put so much time and sweat into my car over the last 4 years, I want to do what I possibly can to keep it safe. In the fall, I'm planning to get LoJack installed plus their new LoJack cell phone notification system to finish it all off and continue on with the buildup of my Si.

$40 is for the regular autolock. The Autolock Pro is about $60. I think the Pro is beefier (sp) and has a different kind of key.

Damn the wheel boot would be the best defense. I mean you cant steal a car with a boot on it even if you try to tow it. You can get it on like all four of your tires that would be cool.......

There's not enough room in a civic to force it to the side like that. Plus its on clutch pedal, even less room. When I put mine on I can't even move it. You gotta put it on real tight. I also recommend a good paging alarm. It saved my car from being stolen once already. And kill switches.

and in the end it will only take 3 minutes to tow it away....if they really want it... they will have it.

you can put whatever you guys want on your car but just to let you know that if some ******* wants your car they will take it. my friend had everything you can think of. low-jack(was not found til 3 days later), fuel switch(had 2 of them),club on the steering wheel. now when they found the car. the whole axle system was bent to hell and the whole bottom was like scraped to hell, and the wheels where bent. we figure out that they tow themother ******* car, how did they do it without puttin it in nuetral or whatever who knows. thats why i never put alarm in my car. just a secret i have so it will never start without it. but i know a guy who do some **** to the ecu where ONLY your ecu will work in YOUR car Only. So if some dumbfuck puts their ecu and connect it, it will not start
