Default Anyone ever do this???

Just recieved my CTR shift boot in the mail and it comes with a black plastic ring on top but my Stock Si shift boot had Chrome y0!........and you can guess what i did next

this heavy duty OEM rubberband came with this Genuine CTR shift boot


Finished product

Good work Its great if you're using the Si ****...because that ring is designed to clip into the Si ****...if you're using an aftermarket ****...you wasted your time...

Yes and no.... i am using the Si **** but it stays pretty tight and stiff enough for aftermarket **** plus i like the look of it saggin down a little bit

JDM Prelude shift **** (black w/red stitching), mated to JDM CTR shift boot ($42 shipped on ebay) with the same custom application you did.

I found the awnser on another thread. Use a big rubberband and wrap it close to the top. The picture above used the same method.
