Default anyone confirm 92-95 vx & si have same dizzy distributor...?

bought the si dizzy for my vx and it mounted just fine...
the numbers on the back of the dizzy (mount side) are the same...
just checking in case the internals are different and is creating a timing shift...
trying to diagnose my problem...

got spark
wires hooked up right
new plugs
recent wires

if i'm getting spark...does that mean the computer is ok...?

they should be the same.

so whats the problem? your car doesnt start?

if you are getting spark, that does not mean your ECU is ok.

the si & vx have the same dizzy...
just bought a new one...
but it wasn't my issue, solved nothing...
i dont know whats wrong now...
tried new plugs...

this is all after a failed msd 6AL install...
something "bad" happened...

when i first bought the msd this summer (used)...
the previous owner lengthened the wires w/ an extension...only he switched the color (only god knows why)...
so when i hooked it up i blew the coil like an m90...
the msd probably melted inside...
so i figured i would buy a new coil and try again...
in hopes the box was still ok.
well i did this the other night.
soddered my ignition (correctly, i might add )...
and proceeded to start the engine...
nothing...
so i went back to stock.
and then nothing...
i tried my backup stock coils and ignitors...nothing...
bought a new dizzy from auto zone...nothing...
tried new plugs...nothing...

thought oil got on one of my sensors below the dizzy hole...
nope...clean...

checked all my fuses...all ok...
could be the alternator...but...
my battery isn't dying...

new dizzy...plugs...recent wires...
battery seems to be good
starter is working
engine cranks
cam turns the dizzy
spark is created
no start !!!

new plugs, recent wires, new dizzy (si)

i dont know whats next...
i have a backup alternator...
but i dont think thats it...
though my battery is fading from trying to start so many times.

when i turn the ignition to acc thats the fuel pump i hear charge right...?...so thats ok...and my plugs are getting wet & smelly too...

this is a tough one

i have a backup alternator and injectors...which are used and untested...

all help appreciated

I think most of the distrubitors for vtec motors are the same with the exception of obd and h22/23's.

Check your timing belt to see if it has slipped? and pull one of your sparkplugs and give it a sniff to see if you are getting fuel.
