Anybody with subs in their hatch or coupe?
I know I know not too many of you should have subs in your car but I am think about getting only 1 sub, like maybe 8 in or 10in. I was planning on hiding it under the trunk mat. If you have any imput about space or anything please post. Can anybody post pics of what thier rear hatch looks like? and under the mat looks like?

It's all hooked to a central plug, it can be taken out in about five seconds. 10" Polk Momo in a tiny sealed box, sounds good for it's size.

i use to have two 12's and then two 10's but they were heavy. So i found a bazooka sas tube, took one of my 10's and just put it in there. Sounds great and less weight. i need some type of bass with my music.

I have a 12 sub in my hatch. I bolted the amp to the box that way it takes 2 min to take it out. I do love to race my car but i love my music also!

I had 1 10" Image Dynamics v.3 w/ a JBL 300.1 and was a sweet set-up for $300. The sub is one of the best SQ out there. I was like you. I didn't like overbearing bass and never went to competitions, just wanted something for fill.

2 12inch kicker comp vr's with a 1000 watt amp in the coupe trunk, powered by a pioneer premier visual cd player. Decently loud, I always want more power.

ive got a coupe with two tens in a sealed box with a 6x9 in a box on either side so it fits perfectly inbetween the wheel wells and I mounted the amp on top of the box and the cap is on the front between the subs and I drive with the back seat down so every thing is right there and I can see the volt display on the cap in the rearview mirror

do you have a coupe or hatch?i had the JL Stealthbox in my coupe, and it was the probably the best sub system i've ever heard.it had one 10W6 sub in it.since i've stripped the whole interior i've removed it and sold the sub.i still have the box for sale if you have a coupe and are interested.

Re: Anybody with subs in their hatch or coupe? (TeamNextGenChris)
i used to have 2 12" rf hx2's in my old 95 4door. with a jbl 1200.1..damn that system slammed...then i took my box out due to the screws coming out, and i had the box out for about 1- 1 1/2 weeks and my **** got broken into!! all that was in the car was the amp, capacitator, and deck (all stolen). the thiecves must have been like WTF?!? when my subs werent in there. my deck face wasnt in the car, so they ******* broke the cd player with a screw driver. now, i bought a jbl 300.1 with one rf punch hx2 (one of the two i had left), good enough bass for me

I have a 6th gen hatch with 1 12inch cerwin vega, it sounds decent, the amp is bolted to the box so when it needs to come out it can. It gives you that little extra. the weight difference is not that much to have a 10 or 8, go for the 12. just make it easy to take out if you need to race.

i have 2 12's in my coupe. and nice 10 or 12 under the trunk mat would be nice as long as you have room to mount the amp. good luck.
