Default Anybody ever use these torque mounts?

I am done doing my 5th b series swap into another eg hatch and for the first time I acually don't have a bunch of extra torque mounts laying around. I have always just filled them up with window weld (silicone) and made my own "solid" front mounts. They are pretty stiff but not totally "solid"

I found some mounts on ebay that look pretty clean so I was thinking about using them but Im afraid they might acually be too stiff....has anyone ever used these in a daily driver? They say that the inserts are delrin...seems like they would be damn near totally stiff...I am going to keep the stock rear mount.

I used to work around delrin all the time. It's a very hard, stiff material with zero give and great friction resistance.

I'm using them right now. Build quality is good. No crazy vibrations. I also own a 2010 mazdaspeed 3 with 70 duro rmm, 80 duro pmm and 88 duro tmm. So the honda is very vibration free compared to it.

Cool...thanks for the response...sounds like they should work for my car. It is a street build, so I don't mind a little vibe....but didn't want to go all crazy. Thanks again!!

Cool, I will be sure to post up what I think of them when I have them in. That's the best part about forums...you can get info about REAL WORLD experience with aftermarket parts....

Well....got the mounts in and, um, nope...not something I want in my street car....gonna have to sell these off. Don't get me wrong, I can tell that these would help with 60' times and the shifting feels sweet. But there is just WAY too much vibration for me in my daily driver...acually kind of a let down, I thought these would be great if I used them with the stock mounts. Oh well...there ya go...

Just fill stock torque mounts with window weld. Not pretty, but you don't see them anyways.

I had a feeling the Delrin mounts were going to be too stiff.

Like I said, very hard, stiff material.

Let me do some research, I might be interested in getting those from you, if you aren't going to use them.

Ya know what's kinda funny is that when I got these in my hands they acually feel more like hard rubber than delrin. I acually have some sliders that I bought for my CBR al long time ago and never put on. The sliders (that I know are delrin) are ALOT harder than the "rubber" stuff in the mounts. Not sure what to think....I do know there are some different hardness ratings that can be offered in delrin..I just didn't think that it was ever really that soft.

Anyway...they are still hella stiff compared to the window weld thing...looks like Im back to the old school buy the stock mounts and fill them up method...

None of this thread surprises me. If you put stiffer mounts in, you will get more feedback and transfer from the engine, then through the car, especially at idle

Those torque mounts would be good for a car that gets tracked.

Best thing I ever did to my B swap was taking out the Hasport mounts and installing the
OE mounts.

The only reason I didn't think it would be an issue is becuase I have filled the stock mounts with window weld (making them "solid") in the past and had very little change in vibration. The window welded mounts must not a have nearly as "solid" as they looked.

OK, I have the stock mounts back in, so whoever may want these, speak up now...BTW, the bolts that came with them were the correct size, but they were the wrong thread pitch. (kinda jacked things up a little bit, but I was able to fix the threads)

If you buy these from me (or ebay, for that matter) you really should go to the hardware store and get some bolts that are correct. The stock bolts are too short.

There is a name-brand company that makes these exact mounts, I just can't remember it off the top of my head.

As an update, I did buy these mounts from the OP and I've been running them since they arrived. They will point out every rattle in your chassis, and make your car VERY loud in the cabin. Definitely not something I would recommend for a DD unless your car is also a weekend warrior.

That's exactly what I like.

I have the following inserts: prothane uppers and rear + ES lowers.

I'd like stiffer torque mounts - the ES aren't quite enough.

I could actually even deal with a solid rear mount I think...
