Any truth that the 1998 Honda auto is a POS?
I was reading some consumer feedback and was shocked that alot of people were having problems with the automatic. With 55k on the clock my seems to shift okay unless going down a hill when I hit the brake and for some unknown reason it downshifts hard. Occasionally it will also wind into second going up a hill but other than that it seems okay. I figured this late in the game Honda would have all the trans stuff figured out since year to year the trans should have upgrades of any known problem. Was what I reading just a few unfortunate?

Just sounds like the Grade Logic Control working to me.

What is that? I didn't see anything in the spec sheets about that feature. So it is normal?

Re: (Intercooler)
Well i can say that I see alot of people drive the auto very hard and its always known that alot of Honda auto trannys are terrible.... hell most autos in particualiar are bad. You get some people who just hold the pedal floored all the time... which kills the trannys life.... think about it, when you hold it floored all the time when the tranny shifts its gonna be hard one.. so i would think that the wear and tear might be harder on it.
