Check for water in the cap, that happens a lot when people power wash their cars. Might want to check the BLK/YEL + wire to your dizzy coil for rust, if this gets corrosion in it, it will have a mid to high load miss. (mid to high throttle)

Check your ignition timing and all of the ignition components.

I might take a look at my injectors tomorrow and switch a few around. If I pull the codes using a scanner will it tell exactly what caused the light to go on?

I swapped the injectors around so we shall see if that helps.

I haven't driven on the switched injectors much. It hasn't randomly misfired yet. the car has around 54k miles. just did an oil change. i have not recently cleaned my engine.

Did you take a look inside the rotor/cap?

Is it pointing the way it's supposed to?

Maybe a bad coil and/or ignitor(ICM)....?
Honda coil=poop (but will still work for 150k+, just not like it should) $45 dollars at o'rileys with a lifetime. Make sure the connectors are on tight and not slipped between the plastic and metal. Adn you should prolly swap one at a time just to be sure everything is right.

I also had a random misfire code and cyl 1 2 3 4 at idle but ended up being a combination of things.
1.OBX alt pulley...12.1 volts is NOT enough
2.mis-adjusted throttle linkage to compensate for low idle(see above statement)
When i put the stock pulley back on and adjusted my linkage, i installed a blox intake mani, cleaned injectors(150k), hondata intake gasket and a honda pcv(maybe 150k). My miss has been gone for months now...its great.

I recently changed out the cap and rotor, and installed it correctly.

I switched out my dizzy for my known working brother's dizzy from the same motor type.

I know I adjusted the throttle cable when my throttle body plate was sticking. But the cord is loose, not taught.

how long ago did you do the tranny swap. i been told by my guy at honda that the egr valve can cause random misfires. i dont know if this is true but its what i been told before.since there is no egr now maybe that could be the problem.

Just wondering, how exactly do you know its a misfire in cylinder 1 and 3 specifically?

Probably codes 70-74, each code represents a cylinder number, and the 70 is a random misfire all together that does not exactly occur in a specific order.

Code 70 is clearly displayed in the Helm as being a code for the automatic transmission (aka transaxle). I'd like to hear from the OP how he determined the misfire on those two cylinders still and not your speculation however...

Was wrong on the code 70, because the obd2 code for this is P0300 (random misfire) and codes 0301 to 0304 correspond to cylinders.
