the helper spring wont give u any performance gain. it will pervent the spring go off the spring seat.

Now when u say it helps control the Main spring from coming off the Spring seat.. this is meant so you don't bottom out the suspension correct? and if it helps from your suspension from bottoming out.. therefore it gives a better overall control of the car to the driver?

No.
The purpose of a helper spring IS to keep the spring under pressure so it doesn't come unseated, but this has nothing to do with bottoming out. If your suspension becomes highly unloaded, then the spring can become unseated. When the wheel is loaded again, the spring can bind. Mostly this results in a popping noise as the spring shifts back into place. I would imagine that there's a small performance disadvantage from this shift as well.

That said, there's not many times (on the street) that this would happen. Instances that I can think of when it would...
- you run a large rear swaybar and you pick the inside wheel up off the ground during a hard turn (autocross)
- you jack the car up
- you hit a huge bump/dip/swoop in the road
- you're jumping curbs on a track

There is also a train of thought that says helper springs can sometimes contribute to wheel hop as well... personally, I wouldn't worry about helper springs for most applications.
