Default another ek window track problem

well my window came off the track last night so i got the panel off and put it back on ... now when it goes up there is basically no problem till the last .5-.25" and it tills itself allittle forward then when i bring it down at about the halfway point it get very hard to roll the window down ... but its still easy to roll it up. lastly about 50% of the time it will kick itself back off the trackl and im not sure why. any help would be great

It happens because the rubber track is supposed to be "treated" every so often. There is this stuff you can buy from the dealer that is supposed to keep the rubber from drying out, and this supposedly helps keep the window in the track. Haven't tried it yet, but am going too.

i thought it was only me! my driver side is like that. I'd have to roll it down a few inches, then up an inch, then down a few more, then up an inch......gets tiring.

found some info....

Easy fix man, I do this all the time!

Loosen the bolt at the bottom right, then the one that goes behind the cap for the mirror, that is your track. Then re-tighten it where it should be at and you should be set. Use some lube on the window crank itself.

The ones I am talking about are #19 and #22 in this diagram:

I'd say use wd, whatever you do don't you white grease, it'll dry up fast and make it worse. A little different but I used white grease on my sunroof and it lasted less than a week, used wd and it lasted all summer long no problems.

See if the regulator that is fastened to the frame of the door is tightened down. I had the same problem and didn't know what was going on. I thought something was wrong with the tracks but it was just the regulator was loose making it move left and right.

I had issues with my window tilting forwars and at points falling out of it's track. I tried the adjusting the slides and checking the track but when I ended up doing was dropping the 75 bucks for a new window regulator (from the stealership) and did the standard R&R (remove and replace). When I had the old unit out of the car I noticed that the scissor assembly when laying all parallel was bowed out least three inches, were as the factory unit is under and inch. What this ment was the whole assembly was horizontally streched out and placing the whole system in a bind. While doing a whole new regulator assembly is expensive and drastic I found it was 75 bucks well spent (oh and that's a manual regulator...).

I did tho have an issue with my windows being stiff and hard to roll up afterwards and I used the Silicone spray and that helped lube things up.

Ive had this problem in both my ek's and the only thing that solved the problem to this point was new rubber from honda. I didnt want to pay it at first, but it paid off in the end. Another thing to add is that a detailer told me to use some spray wax in the rubber where the window slides up and down. I didnt think that would work for long, but it actually helped ALOT.
