a light clicking noise? like metal hitting metal? it's not grinding right? a clicking like metal tapping metal? check near the wheel well for anything that may have come loose then. does it occur when u make turns or anything? low speeds? high speeds? or any time randomly.

i dunno- the light clicking noise in my car- got louder and more frequesnt- until eventually my connecting rod snapped- bent the valves/fucked up the first cylinder- and there went my d16z6.

nah the piston didnt come lose, i guess the rod had a small crack in it- and the more i drove the worse it got, until it completely snapped and got stuck like sideways, locked up the whole motor...intake and exhaust valves both looked like this after too... /\/\/\/

man that scared the **** out of me after i read it. After i read this i went and looked again for what was causing it i noticed when i opened my hood the thing the hood latch snaps into when you close the hood got very loose somehow and caused the latch to bang against my fender.
on me
