Default angry bumble bee attack

I believe I've seen this occur to people before with apexi's n1 but earlier tonight when I started my car I could hear a nice rattling noise and my car sounded like a mad *** bumble bee...

wonderful..
heres some pics of the dmg...

Anyone else experienced this? I've heard something that there notorious for the weld breaking there.. Can it be welded back together? or I guess my best bet would be to buy a new muffler and have a shop weld it on?

Solutions and/or experiences would be greatly appreciated..

happened to me with an Apexi World Sport. The whole rear punched out too. I had to get a new muffler cause I tried to fix it 3 times by rewelding it and it just repunched a hole. I got myself a vibrant muffler instead. hehe.

a friend of mine had the same thing happen to his.. cept he had dual exhaust (both of them broke off like that), so be glad your not him lol

but he welded them back on but for some reason they broke off again, maybe he just did a shitty ameture welding job idk, but you should just weld it back on if you dont want to go get a new muffler and then weld that on, that would be a waste of money

but good luck with whatever happens

So should I get an axle back or just buy a muffler and let a shop weld it onto the pipe.. btw it was a cat-back exhaust so the piping is from apexi...

personally, i would weld the muffler back on that broke off... but if your set on getting a new one, then that would be my second option.. just go buy a new one and weld it on, try and save yourself some money and dont buy an axle back..

I'm ghettoly cheap. So I'll say: Take it to an exhaust shop and have 'em weld it back on. Or do absolutely nothing until you get pulled over.

I've never been harrassed by the cops for sound even though the n1 is loud... I'm not worried about getting pulled over its louder then normal but its not screaming yet..

It doesn't help anything that it has that huge dent in the bottom. Obviously it's been bottomed out!

Yeah my car isn't even that low but it still bottomed out alot...
The canister is semi-rusted but the piping seems fine, I might just buy another muffler and have it welded on...

2 of my friends had this problem with the N1, its due to water building up in the muffler and sitting there and rusting it out. if you drill a little hole at the bottom of the muffler you won't have that problem
