all you civic guys i need some help
ok here is the deal i have a 95 civic with a H22 swap.
i have had the car for about 5 years now. she has been sleeping for about a year now before i put her away i some how fryed my alt. racing a camaro so i pushed her into the garage and left her for a little bit.
all this week i have been getting her back to her old glory.
2day i ran into a little prob. it's got a set of cross drilled disks in front and i put on some 94 gsr disks in the rear. this is were i kinda get lost right before i put her away the breaks were getting really solf always hitting the floor.
i thought it was prob the rear pads cuz they had not be changed in some time so 2day i go out and change the pads...and still the breaks are way to soft and every worst they really don't work for the most part.
has any one had anything like this happen to them ? or any ideas would get really good i need some help here
thanks a lot mike

don't ask me dude....it was a hot freakin day...i raced.... went to taco bell then to a friends house....then home...next day car was dead... pushed it into the garage..... never touched it for a year...just the other week i did a system check and it showed the alt. was dead... so don't ask me...if i messed it up in the race i don't know how i made it home with all the stops i had..but i don't know what else it could have been...lol.. weird things happen i guess

goes all the way to the floor..hmm..does it bite wen it does that...is it spongy? if its spongy theres air in the system. sounds like maybe u have bad brake pistons? bump lol

you probably just have to bleed the brakes, start off simple. Alternators arent that expensive either, did you get a new one yet?

-make sure the brakes are bled properly
-make sure you the brake master cylinder from an integra or 99-00 si
-make sure you have the proportioning valve from an integra or 99-00 si
The third one is most likely your problem.

you know i don't think the master cyl. is from a integra....i was thinking that could be the prob. but it worked for so long with the civics in there.

had a similar problem with my Civic... pedal "sponged" right to the floor... on mine the master cylinder went bad... so I replaced it and the brake booster with OEM Integra... now it stops on a dime!
