I don't believe the d17 civics are EP's I always believe they were EM3's or some nonsense.. and the d17 is basically simliar in all dimensions to the d16 blocks of old.. so I wouldn't see how the condensors are all that diffetent good luck

thanks guys..just needing a lil input of knowledge. I will try to install one 2morrow. I too noticed that the compressor was removed the same as from a d16 off a EKs and the EGs. Let yall know how things turn out.
Note: I did install a D15 compressor on a d16y8 motor and it was a perfect fit. No more hot days in the heat.

actually, thats with the k20's. hes actually referring to the 2002 civic (EM2)
which is the 1.7 D series engine. im not sure if it will fit. go check on majestic honda if its the same part number
