after market radiator cap

i got a brand new skunk2 radiator cap for free. my car is currently a all-stock EG si. if I put on the radiator cap will it negatively affect my car? its 1.3

it can if your cooling system is in poor condition. if you have a weak point some where, the increased pressure could cause a leak to start
