Adjusting wing window on a Sol?
I found a lil leak where the wing window meets the front gasket. I think all I need to do is adjust it just a bit so it fits snug, but I cant find an adjustment like there is for the back rail.
What can I do to get this tighter?
Thanks!

Well, my gaskets are solid, in case ya wondered.
My door has been dinged a bit, (dont think thats it)but I think if I move the wing in just 1mm or so, it will seal it.
Thanks!

Damn, still having a problem with this.
I tried shimming the bottom of the rail with some washers, but it still leaks pretty badly.
Is there a way to do this, or should I adjust the top door henge so the door comes in a bit more? Its never been adjusted it looks like..

Well, I took the gasket off, unscrewed it from the door, and bent it in about a half inch. put it all back together and it still leaks like a sieve!
It comes out of the bottom of that gasket, and it seems shorter than the drivers side, and not meeting the lower door gasket there..
I may have to replace that gasket, but for $50 Id rather fix it for free of course!
I think I'm going to take some black gasket and see if I can fight it that way..
Heh..

Re: Adjusting wing window on a Sol?
I have a couple of del sols and after getting tired of the leaking targa top I went to the Honda dealer and was ready to buy the Honda OEM seal lubricant to try that. The parts guy there said they didn't have it in inventory but to go try to get 3M Silicon Paste at the parts store, basically the same stuff. I went to NAPA and they had it. It's expensive $30 for a 8 ounce can but it works. It's like a dielectric grease you smear on the rubber and the water just sheds from it and doesn't flow in to the car. There are other cheaper dielectric grease products that may work also.

Re: Adjusting wing window on a Sol?
Thanks for the info!
But I think its not fitting because the door is off just a bit..
BTW, I did the front door to door gasket with a '95 one, and that helped with one leak, but now its obviously leaking right in front of that spot.
I really don't want to take the fender off to adjust the door, but I may have to..
