adjusting my headlights (please help)
I need to adjust the headlights on my 2000 Civic coupe. found one of the gears and turned them with a philips screwdriver but it does'nt seem to budge at all. Do you guys know if they are broken or not, or do they just need alot of turns to make a noticeable difference.
Also how many gears are there, because I just found the one that was plainly visible. Are there any more gears undeneath that I mgiht have to look for?

Re: adjusting my headlights (GenXcopz)
There should be two gears; one controlling vertical alignment and another for horizontal alignment. If the philips doesn't work, use a flathead. That's what happened with me

point the headlights at a flat wall (like in your garage) and then start adjusting the headlight that is off by turning those screws (mine took a few turns). One adjusts from left to right the other is up and down.

Re: adjusting my headlights (CivHizzle)
Pull up to a flat surface as close as you can. You must be on level ground. Make an X with tape on the flat surface exactly where the brightest part of your headlights should be pointing. Pull straight back 25 feet. DON'T use the screwdriver method. That's the shitty pain in the *** way to do it. Instead, find the bolt that the gear would turn if you were using a screwdriver. That bolt is 8mm. Break out w/ the 8mm socket (because it's way easier and quicker) and have at it. Adjust the lights so the brightest part is 1/4" right and down from the center of the X. There you go. Straight headlights.
