Default adjusting clutch, brake, and gas pedal

Does anyone know how to adjust the the gas, brake, and clutch pedal on a 97 civic. My pedals feels a little slacky and just want ot make it a tad tighter with out having to adjust the cables. Thanks

get a shop manual-it shows the adjustment procedures for the pedals.

right,so get one.even a $10 Haynes manual from an auto parts store has this procedure in it.if you do any work to your own car, this should be your first investment-it will answer 99% of your questions on doing just about anything to your car.

no adjustment on the brake pedal, maybe they need to be bleed or the pads changed. the gas is done at the throttle body where the throttle cable attatches to the throttle cable bracket. 2 12mm nuts, loosen the one closest to the throttle body and tighten the one on the other side of the bracket to tighten the cable. the clutch is adjusted from under the dash. look at the clutch pedal and follow it up and youll see a rod going "through" the fire wall, actually to the clutch master cylinder. where the rod (i said ROD hehehe) attatches to the clutch pedal on the side closest to the firewall there is a 12mm nut, loosen it. now the rod can be turned in or out. to take out the slack loosen the rod(counterclockwise) but dont go to far or youll preload the clutch. you want the clutch pedal to have about a 1/4 inch of freeplay.hth
