Default AC pressure help

My compressor went bad internally. They guy at my local shop thought it was okay and recommended that I replace the compressor, vacuum, and refill. I did this and it worked fine for 2 weeks, then started blowing hot.

My gauge seemed to show that the low side pressure was low so I added some freon. It is now blowing cold, but with the car off the low side pressure is >100psi and the high-side pressure is ~150psi. With the compressor on the low side drops to ~40psi and the high-side rises to 200psi. The compressor is not cycling on and off and the pressure stays at those levels. The compressor is brand new.
When I pulled the high-side gauge off (with the car off and showing 150psi) it sprayed oil at me. What does this mean?

I know that I probably should have flushed and replaced the expansion valve, but I went on local advice and tried to save some $.

Based on the information you provided, I didn't find any obvious problems with your A/C.

My concern was the compressor not cycling and relatively low high side pressure. Would this be typical because ambient was 100+ degrees?

When the A/C is off, it is normal for the low and high side pressures to equalize.

The A/C should be recharged by refrigerant weight. Is that what you did?

It sounds like there's a leak in your A/C system. Have you tried to locate and fix it?
