AC lost charge after about a month
So as the title states, my AC lost its charge after about a month after recharging it.
I used one of those cans from Autozone that have the little guage connected to it and being the impatient person I am, I didn't pull a vacuum before charging it.
Could this be why the charge was lost? Or could it be something else?
I'm going to clean the condenser first and my dad has one of those professional grade leak detectors that I'm gonna use to check the lines and compressor.
If all goes well, I'll properly recharge it again. Let me know what you guys think and if you have any tips let me know

Could be because you didn't pull a vacuum there is moisture/contamination in the system and that has plugged up the expansion valve.
Or a leak.
In any case if it has been completely discharged it is probably contaminated and needs a new receiver/dryer and pull a vacuum to boil out the moisture most likely.
Also if it is under/overcharged the compressor might not kick on.

Probably a leak. Get a loaner vacuum pump and full gauge set from an auto parts store and use that to recharge and leak test. Doesn't cost anything and it'll be done right.

Well, it turns out that it wasn't a leak at all.
The climate control cable slipped off under the glove box so it was stuck somewhere between hot and cold.
I turned it all the way left and put the cable back on.
Its cold but not icy cold like I'd luck....but it'll do for now. I'm relieved it wasn't a leak. :D
