'99SI AEM CAI
will the AEM CAI for the '99SI fit on a '99EX coupe? just wondering because i can get a great deal on one from a friend for $50 bucks. thanks in advance

Yeah, I believe it's the same although some people have told me it's like 1/2" bigger than EX piping. So I'm really not sure. Either way, you won't gain much with one or the other.

No they are not the same. The SI is larger. I know this for a fact because I have an EX and put an AEM EX CAI on it. Then I ordered a B16 which I have still not recieved. I then went ahead and bought an AEM SI CAI and put it on my EX so that I could sell the EX CAI. So I guess what I am saying is "YES" it will work you just have to tighten the rubber where attaches to the manifold very good. If you have any other questions just let me know.

so i should go ahead and get it for $50 bucks? also, dont AEM give you like free repacement filters for free? does anyone have a bypass valve i could buy for the CAI? thanks alot. this forum isnt that bad i guess.

The most common way for water to enter the engine is for the filter to be entirely submerged. The length the water would then have to travel, significantly reduces the possibility of harm being done. But if you want the insurance, then get the bypass valve.
