hey whats up i have a 99 civic ex with a b16a2 in it. the issue im having is the car does not blow out heat wen i have the switch on warm air it just blows cool. and the temp gauge is directly in the middle. the car has never overheated on me. all the hondas i have owned the temp was always a little below the half way mark. i just did the timing belt, water pump, and tensionor pully. im thinking maybe its the thermostat but i wanted a second opinion..

might be a dumb question but are you letting it warm up first?

have a friend look at your lever inside the engine bay and make sure when you change the temp from cold to hot that its opening and closing the lever by the firewall for the heater core...

yea i let it warm up lol. alright ill try that out. so you don't think its the thermostat because again like i said before the temp gauge stays directly in the middle all the hondas i have owned it would be a little below the half way mark on the gauge

Maybe the cable is stretched or snapped that actuates the flow of coolant to the heater core.

its normal for the temperature to be in the middle, thats how the 96-00 civics clusters are.....anything above the middle then you should worry. if temperature is in the middle but its blowing cool air then either the lever by the firewall isnt moving or your climate control isnt working.

i agree, if the t-stat was bad you'd be overheating, or not warming up at all. sounds like fluid isn't getting into the heater core, may have a clogged core, or a broken cable like mentioned above.
