I agree with ACT. I plan on using this as well. Clutches vary in price, depending on many factors. a basic clutch would be fine, but what are the plans for the car?

The ACT pressure plate is too damn strong and engages too harshly...destroying the bearings inside the tranny

For under 180 or so WHP , Why not a stock TYPE R clutch, Honda dependability for about $320 shipped.

I have an ACT.
The clutch kit was $250, $440 if you get the steetlite flywheel with it.
Doesnt seem very harsh to me, but then again i got the softest pressure plate they offer. I would say so long as you stay away from anything heavier then just the HD it will be fine. And it can still handle 230ft/lbs with the street disk.

i'm in the process of switching out the clutch on my brother's 99si... we went with the exedy organic from http://www.clutchcityonline.com.... they ship fast and i haven't had a problem.... if you've got the money, a sprung exedy 3 puck is fabulous!!!

Nothing is better than an ACT SSHD combo....seriously.
Feels like stock if you know how to drive it, grabs really hard when you need to, and holds very well with time.
We run the HDSS in my room mates built turbo ITR....clutch feels brand new after 3 years of hard driving.
I have one in my now blown single cam....but I wouldn't get a different clutch for street driving and racing without going crazy with the horsepower

I call bullshit.
My FIANCEE' (meaning a female y0!) has had the ACT Xtreme Pressure Plate and Modified Street disc in her car for FOUR years and it has NEVER had one tranny problem whatsoever even with me driving that **** hard.
BTW:
After 4 years of use it still barks second and even third ith grippy 195/50/15 tires.
