Default 99 Civic Si cylinder 2 misfire.

So about a month ago while driving I got a cylinder 2 misfire code, so thinking the plugs were bad(since I just had the motor rebuilt 8 months ago without a code.) I decided to do a full tune up. Looking at the plugs it was obvious that they were done and needed to be changed. Cut to a few days later cylinder 2 is still misfiring, not bad enough to shake the car or drop too low in rpms but I can notice it. My question is what can cause this and what else should i check for before I do a compression test....fuel injector cleaner? Also my valve cover is leaking oil due to the rebuilders using to much torque on the cover and pitching the gasket, could this cause a misfire? Thank you.

No to the VC gasket oil leak.

Do a power balance test. See if there is a change in engine sound when you unplug each injector, one at a time.

From there, compression and leak down test.

Why are you waiting to do a compression test?

If your rebuilders overtightened the valve cover I wouldn't trust them to have properly adjusted the valves either.

Did the unplug wire test on cylinder 2 and no change it sound/idle other cylinders do change. I'm waiting to do compression test because I don't have the time to take the car to my regular mechanic since I just started a new job. Also my regular mechanic is not the guys who rebuilt the motor. Should I might as well replace/clean the fuel injectors while I'm at it. How would I go about cleaning them if not replacing.

Google would be your friend, there is a lot of advice on cleaning injectors.

One thing you can do to make sure it is that particular injector and not the wiring is to swap injectors. See if the problem cylinder moves with the swap or if it stays. If it stays, it's not the injector.
