99 civic question PLEASE HELP
i need to konw where the knock sensor is on a 99 civic hatch dx i know they dont have one i just want to know if there is like a hole for one and if so where i can find it also do i really need one? i mean what does it do?

Yes, they have a hole for it. It's at the top of the block on the back side above where the oil pressure switch/sensor is. No need to put one on your stock setup; your ECU does not even support it. Honda did not feel they needed to put one on so I'd say you'll be just fine.

OK, so you should add one. You omitted that you now had a VTEC head and, more than likely, a P2P ECU that requires a Knock sensor. Yes, add one.
