I read a forum for a no spark issue on the car. I preformed the tests recommend. It stated that if you have spark at the coil and the rotor turns then replace the cap and rotor. I have spark @the coil. The rotor turns but I have no spark coming out of the cap to the wires. I hooked a spark tester strait to the cap and cranked it over but get nothing. any suggestions for this issue. ?

How big are the sparks from the coil? A bad coil can make weak yellow sparks that can only jump a short distance. These sparks will not make it past the rotor. You should have strong blue sparks that can jump more than 1/2 inch to your grounded test wire.

I don't recall any diagnostics stating to check for spark at the coil, suppose to check if they are within spec. Do you have the spring present on the coil? Take pics.

how old is your coil? the stock tec unit is good for about 75k.
other brands usually more like 45k is my experience.
definitely the weakest link imho. keep a spare handy.
richporter is decent for $20 or so if you cant cough up $75 for the honda coil.
also: easy to fry it to **** up if improperly tested.
