cam timing off? sounds like the engine is turning and you have ZERO compression. Verify if the engine is actually turning over or not. If not, then the bendix gear on the starter is not engaging the flywheel. auto starter on manual trans maybe? If it is engaging and turning over, then cam timing is off.

the 'best" way: via a spark plug/HEI tester but on the go if you have a spare plug pull one of wires/coils put the plug it ground it(lay it on the VC) try starting it and look for the purple spark seeing as it's night time this should be rather easy just be carfull that you'r not touching the frame you'll be fine sitting in you'r seat. just curious do you have a fuel pressue gauge ? are the plugs wet with fuel after cranking ?

That's not the smartest thing to do. you've got to use a plug heck if you really don't have a spare pull one from the cyl will work also just not as good as using a spare.

Since I'm not using a gsr manifold anymore u think I can just completely eliminate it? Or just leave it plugged n zipped tied somewhere

if you are running obd1 then just unplug it and you're done.

if it is obd2 then just hook it up and hide that ugly sob outta the way! regardless of manifold, if it is obd2 then you need to leave it connected to not get a cel

I'm gonna run a jump down harness to obd1...and what about the pcv outlet on the manifold? Do I just plug that up n leave it to?

shouldn't even have to plug it since it has a ball valve in it and it only opens when u try to suck thru it otherwise the vacuum of the motor will keep it closed so just cut the hose off of it and ur done same as mine
