99 Civic Front End Conversion HELP
SO I did my front end conversion on my 96 about a yr ago and i kept my rad support but it doesnt fit as nice as I would like it to. Anyone have pics or advice on where to trim the radiator support so it looks flushed? THANKS

im guessing the grill probably doesnt sit flush,..ive only heard of people cutting the grill not the rad support,..and how you cut the grill,..its not noticeable,..some pics of what isnt sitting flush would help,..i did the conversion on my 96,..but i used a 99-00 rad support because my 96 support was fucked in the wreck

Hmm i dont have any recent pics on my comp (no digi cam ) anyways umm the headlights stick out a bit... and like i was able to get one side of the grill to fit nicely but the other side (driver side) still sticks out a lil ..looks like the hood doesnt cover it or sumtin... The way i got the passenger side in was trimmin part of the bumper where the grill goes... i did that for both sides but only one side fits better ... well heres a kinda bad pic.. if u blow it up in ur photo viewer u can see better

The only part that don't fit well is usually the front bumper. If you look at the 99-00 ft bumper there are a total of 4 bolts that hold the bumper. 1 each on the side ends, and in the middle between the grill 1 bolt on each side. Your 96-98 radiator support bracket won't allow you to bolt them middle bolts to hold the bumper. You also have to cut or make an incision on theme middle lever handles on the bumper below it so you can slide the bumper over the radiator support. It's kinda hard to explain..

I kindah see what your saying with the lights. My lights and grill are fine but it's my hood that's kindah messed up just like yours. I drove it for the longest time but the other night I finally got fed up with it and loosened up the hood latch had a friend hold the hood down as far as possible with the hood latch still holding the hood and tightened the latch up. this helped the spacing a little, but I still need to get the rubber weather stripping to make it seem like it's more flush with the grill and lights. I would suggest that for your case as well, as it looks like your hood is ALL out of wack. But it's 65 for a piece of friggen rubber. And majestic has it for 45 but you need to buy the plastic grommets to connect to the hood. But I digress. And all i cut was the two metal tabs sticking out which held the old grill plastic.
